1. Boundaries of Plains Traveling Dart League are: Butler St., River St., Lithuanian Club, & Rte. 315 (with the exception of Brannigan’s).
2. Maximum number of teams in the league is 28.
3. Maximum number of teams per establishment is 4.
4. Each establishment is allowed 1 representative at meetings.
5. Each establishment is allowed 1 vote. ( A motion will be made at a scheduled meeting and voted on at the next scheduled meeting. To give reps. the opportunity to discuss the motion with other shooters).
6. If an establishment misses 3 consecutive scheduled meetings they forfeit their turn to host a scheduled meeting.
7. PTDL shoots an 8 man roster- 4 man team- 80% handicap.
8. Each match will consist of four (4) points in the league standings. One point for each game plus one point for total points. Shoot the 10th frame if tied for total points.
9. All teams must have four (4) players to start the match. If a team has less than 4 players by the end of the grace period, the first game is forfeited (if a nemo cannot be used). The second game must start by 8:00 or that match is forfeited. After 8:15 pm all 4 games are forfeited.
10. If you forfeit any game of a 3 game match, you also forfeit total points.
11. Any team with 2 forfeits in one season is out of the league.
12. Wood dart boards are the only boards authorized by the league.
13. The dart board is to be situated 5 feet 3 inches from the floor to the center of the eye. The bumping board should be at least 48 inches in length and 7‘ 3“ from bulls eye to toe board.
14. “DARTO” is the official dart of the league.
15. No player may call their own darts.
16. Darts are to be called before they are pulled from the board.
17. In case of a challenge, the person behind to next shooter must call the darts.
18. The eye is shot before every game to determine the order in which the game is shot. Bull tops Bull
19. Home team has advantage of choosing who shoots eye first. Winner of 1st game has advantage for 2nd etc..
20. A player is given three (3) practice darts to start the match. No darts should be shot at or above the first frame. First game only, unless new shooter.
21. Any player involved in a match cannot practice on any board between frames of an ongoing match. Any player not shooting the game can practice on any board as long as it does not
interfere with the match in progress. If a game was already shot -- no practice shots.
22. A split wire favors the shooter.
23. Players are allowed to step over the line after releasing their dart, but may not walk up to the board.
24. No foul language, obscenities, or fighting during matches. Teams will forfeit games and be banned from league for 1 year.
25. No disturbing the shooter - after 1st warning you will forfeit the match.
26. Each team is responsible for their own $12.00 weekly dues being delivered to the treasurer.
27. A minimum of 30 games required to qualify for individual awards.
28. A copy of the rules of the PTDL must be available for viewing at every match.
29. Trophies -- at the league’s discretion.
30. Play-offs -- at the league’s discretion.
31. If circumstances prevail, such that a team cannot play its regular scheduled match, the two teams involved must set an alternate date. (which must be before the next scheduled match.)
32. If you are not shooting on a scheduled Monday, secretary must be notified so you will not be charged late score sheet fee.
33. If a shooter leaves a game before 9 frames are shot, that shooter gets a blank (0) for the remaining frames. (Unless an emergency).
34. Twenty-one (21) games needed to shoot in playoffs, and eighteen (18) games needed to attend end-of-year clam bake.
35. If any player shoots in playoffs without the required 21 games, all 4 games are forfeited.
36. Any team entering a tournament, other than PTDL sponsored, must pay their own entry fee.
37. A team sponsor in the PTDL may hold an office without being on a roster.
Dues and Fines
38. Franchise fee is $25.00. Good faith is $25.00. Payable to treasurer before season starts.
39. Each team is responsible for $12.00 per team for dues weekly. (See rule #26.)
40. Any team that forfeit’s a match will loose their good faith money and must replace it.
Monies owed the league (tickets/ dues, forfeits, missed meetings etc.) must be paid to the treasurer before the next scheduled games. (See rule # 43).
41. All teams must participate in league fund-raising projects.
42. Each team from an establishment will be fined $10.00 for a missed meeting if there is not a representative present for that establishment. This money will be given to the treasurer and then paid to the establishment hosting the meeting.
43. No team will shoot a scheduled match if they fall behind by $50.00. (Unpaid dues/tickets, fines etc).
Nemos - 80% of lowest qualified shooter’s average on roster - not shooting current match.
45. No nemos may be used in playoff games.
46. A nemo may be used 2 times per team per year. (If you use 2 nemos in one game - you’ve used your allotment for the year.) See rule # 9.
Rosters and Score Sheets
47. Each team’s roster must be in by the 5th week of shooting. There will be no changes to roster after 5 th week unless discussed at a scheduled meeting.
48. All shooters on a roster must have an established average by the 12th week. (including alternates).
49. If an illegal shooter (not on roster) shoots after 5th week that team will be fined $10.00, and all 4 games will be considered losses.
50. Original score sheets must be sent to league secretary from the home team. The original score sheets along with a fee of $5.00 should reach the secretary by 8 p.m. the Wednesday immediately following dart night.
51. The home team is responsible to make a copy of score sheet. Original sent to secretary and copy to stay at bar.
52. If visiting team wants a copy of score sheet, it must be requested before shooting begins.
53. Rosters will consist of eight (8) players. No individual under the age of twenty-one (21) is permitted on any roster.
54. A player must remain on the roster of the team for which he played his first game.
55. If score sheet is late- 1st offense is $5.00, 2nd offense is $10.00 etc.
